SSphere Sentinel
the project
What it does.
A self-hosted infrastructure monitoring foundation with host telemetry, heartbeats, and optional Docker visibility, built to grow into backup verification.
SSphere Sentinel helps bring infrastructure signals into one self-hosted system. Its current foundation combines Django and PostgreSQL with a standalone host agent, registration and heartbeat APIs, and storage of each host’s latest state.
The agent reports CPU, memory, root disk usage, and uptime. Optional Docker discovery reads container state and health, while heartbeat age identifies hosts that have gone offline.
The project is in development. A dashboard interface, backup verification, and service checks are planned; they are not available in the current foundation. See the repository documentation for configuration and deployment requirements.
